WHAT A PUTT! WHAT A STORY! Grayson Murray earned his first PGA Tour win in nearly seven years at the Sony Open, where he holed a 39-foot birdie putt in the first sudden-death playoff hole with his L.A.B. Golf LINK.1 putter. “Everyone at the company is so happy for Grayson,” said L.A.B. Golf CEO Sam Hahn. “We all know how hard he worked. We’re so happy for him. We’re so proud of him. What a putt! It was in the entire way!” Murray was once a rising star on the PGA Tour, winning the Barbasol Championship as a rookie in 2017. His struggles with mental health and alcohol use have been well documented in recent years, and he fell as low as 630th in the world rankings before reclaiming his winning form on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2023. Murray, now 30, won two Korn Ferry Tour events in 2023 after switching to a LINK.1 putter: the AdventHealth Championship in May and the Simmons Bank Open in September. The two wins propelled him to No. 7 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points list, earning him a 2024 PGA Tour Card. “I hope everyone there at home watching can get a little inspiration from me,” Murray said after the win. “If I just help one person, that’s all it takes.” With his win at the Sony Open, Murray has earned a spot in all of the remaining PGA Tour Elevated events, as well The Masters, The Players Championship, and the PGA Championship in 2024. He’s also risen to his highest-ever ranking of 48th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
