This is what happens when two close friends sit down and have a beer and come up with the idea to raise money and have fun doing it! The inspirational story behind this event began in 2003 when Melissa Balkowitsch was diagnosed with breast cancer. Missy underwent surgery and years of treatment during her cancer battle. Watching someone you love battle this disease on a daily basis leaves you feeling helpless.
This golf tournament is our way to help others with their battle with breast cancer; to let them know they are not alone and we will do whatever it takes to help them overcome this terrible disease. Over the 10 years of running this event we have made so many amazing friends and the support from our community has been truly a blessing. We have had the time of our lives putting on this event, it's a labor of love that has given us more then we could ever give back to our cancer cause. Thank you to everyone who has ever been involved.

Along with being the title sponsor, Give 5 also donates many of the amazing prizes offered each year to all the participants. It's our goal that nobody goes home empty handed after playing in our event! 100% of all the proceeds are donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation & The Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation.
