To give you hard case protection, the inside of the case is made from a highly durable ABS plastic. The soft outside of a Lakewood Case is made with a foam lined denier nylon. Lakewood is the only manufacturer of soft sided hard cases. A soft sided hard case is a hard durable ABS case wrapped in a soft outer shell, combining all the advantages of a soft case with the strength and protection of a hardcase, without any of the disadvantages.
