We used 304 stainless steel for the auger, housing and locking ring, we gave it a powerful commercial-grade motor, and adjusted the auger to allow it to work with commercial plates and knives to give you the best grind possible from a home grinder. The Walton's #8 Grinder is a smaller but still robust grinder and is ideal for the home processor or hunter who does small batches.
